SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a radioactive irradiation system and a method for controlling a radioactive irradiation system and can be used in radiation therapy. System comprises a beam irradiation device generating a therapeutic beam and emitting a therapeutic beam to an irradiated body to form an irradiated area, a treatment plan module which simulates and calculates a dose in accordance with the parameters of the therapeutic beam and medical imaging data of the irradiated area, which generates a treatment plan. Treatment plan module is configured to filter elements that affect the simulation results and calculation of neutrons and photons in the application scenes of the radioactive irradiation system by taking into account the weight proportions of the plurality of elements in the human body and the intensities of the plurality of elements reacting with neutrons and photons, so that during simulation only filtered elements are simulated. System also comprises a control module which controls the radiation of the beam irradiation device in accordance with the treatment plan.
EFFECT: shorter time for calculating radiation dose distribution due to increased speed of calculating the radiation exposure plan module.
