SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically geriatrics, endocrinology, therapy, and can be used to determine personalized target values of therapeutic control of type 2 diabetes mellitus in elderly patients. There are determined: patient's age, duration of diabetes mellitus, body weight index, value of weight reduction for 6 months, glomerular filtration rate, presence or absence of microalbuminuria, smoking, diagnosis of ischemic heart disease, diagnosis of ischemic cerebral disease, diagnosis of chronic obliterating disease of arteries of lower extremities, diagnosis of arterial hypertension and/or left ventricular hypertrophy, category of functional dependency is determined. Obtained data are entered into a digital clinical calculator for calculating individual targets for therapeutic control of type 2 diabetes mellitus in elderly patients and calculating target levels of glycated haemoglobin, low-density lipoproteins, systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

EFFECT: method enables determining the personalized target values of the therapeutic control of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the elderly patients taking into account specific geriatric syndromes by assessing a set of the most significant parameters.
