FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental monitoring of water bodies by bioindication methods and can be used in collection of quality samples of zoobenthos in water bodies, where there are few natural substrates and aquatic vegetation or they are completely absent on the investigated area, such as water bodies located in the Arctic zone, due to which there is no possibility to fully take into account species composition of zoobenthos using standard hydrobiological methods for sampling, such as the use of grabs, trawls, dredges, scrapers, nets. Artificial substrate is made of a wire frame and mill gas and is installed on the bottom, sticking the wire frame supports into the bottom soil. Substrate has a folded working surface of “corrugation” type and is configured for longitudinal compression and expansion of folds. During exposure, the substrate is populated with zoobenthic organisms, after which the substrate is removed from the water and high-quality samples of zoobenthos are taken from the folds of the substrate.
EFFECT: invention enables rapid movement and installation of artificial substrate at any point of water body without need to use lifting watercraft, as well as diving operations when collecting samples of zoobenthos from artificial substrate.
