SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to transplantology and clinical laboratory diagnostics; it can be used to diagnose bronchial obstruction in a lung transplant recipient. The concentration of galectin-3 is determined in the venous blood plasma of the lung transplant recipient. If its value is more than 11.7 ng/ml, the presence of bronchial obstruction of the lung transplant is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of non-invasiveness, reducing the complexity and time of performing, availability of early diagnostics of obstructive bronchial processes in transplanted lungs recipients, while achieving effective diagnostics of bronchial complications in this contingent of patients, as well as increasing its objectivity due to the possibility of making an assessment taking into account the indicator showing the state of the entire transplant – galectin-3, which is secreted in the damaged area and promotes tissue fibrosis.
