FIELD: internal combustion engines; ignition systems. SUBSTANCE: control unit 6 has AND gate 9, OR 10 and discharge current value control unit 11. Shown in drawing are high-voltage source 1, coil 3 with high-voltage winding 2, spark plug 4, controlled current generator 5, firing pulse generator 7 and ignition coil primary winding 8. As to restoration of discharge suppressed by turbulence, offered system differs materially from its prototype in which a certain time interval is present between moments of discharge suppression and restoration. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sparking owing to determining the moment when discharge current value drops below critical after which signal for mixture refiring is put out. 7 dwg
