FIELD: heavy-current pulse technique. SUBSTANCE: cooling gap between case and insulating cylinder is divided into two inlet and two outlet ducts; transverse partition of case has inlet hole to admit air to ducts and outlet holes to discharge air and products of erosion; all these measures make it possible to blow down gaps between firing and main electrodes through slits and in direction of rotation of firing electrode as well as to ensure more effective evacuation of erosion products from discharge gap.
