FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: levels P1, P2 and Po of power of noise signal are measured within given bandwidth across output of measured amplifier matched by input, across output of reference source of noise signal with noise temperature T and across output of matched load at ambient temperature To. Ratio γ of difference of levels P1 and Po to difference of levels P2and Po is found. Then noise temperature Tn of amplifier is determined from expression , where α1, α2 are induced attenuations of path from output of measured amplifier and reference source of noise signal correspondingly to input of power meter of noise signal on measurement frequency Tn rel.units; Kg is gain factor of measured amplifier on measured frequency Tn rel.units. EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities with simultaneous increase of measurement precision of noise temperature of SHF amplifiers. 1 dwg
