FIELD: electrochemical protection of metals. SUBSTANCE: non-polarizable comparison electrode includes hollow, mainly cylindrical body 1 of current-nonconductive material built up from individual sections interconnected in series and separated with porous electrolyte-penetrable partitions 2. Face section 4 is provided with inclined side holes 5. Axis of each hole 5 makes with axis of central outer hole 6 angle α<90° 90 deg. Holes 5 and 6 are plugged with porous electrolyte-penetrable stoppers 7. Electric contact 9 with current lead 10 produced from metal of high electric conductivity and measuring wire 11 connected from inside is put into face section 8. Filtering sections 13 insulated electrically from outer medium are placed between face sections 4 and 8. Space of comparison electrode is filled with electrolyte 14 (solution of copper vitriol). Invention makes it possible to increase accuracy of measurement of potential of metal object (for instance, pipe-line) protected against electrochemical corrosion and reliability of structure of comparison electrode by keeping total volume of own electrolyte and of its chemical composition in region close to electrode. EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurements thanks to enhanced stability of inherent potential and prolonged service life of comparison electrode. 2 tbl, 1 dwg
