FIELD: gas wells. SUBSTANCE: method involves reducing pressure in the stratum along the intercontour regions with gas mode of use below the gas saturation pressure in layers saturated with water and gas. As a result of formed pressure difference the solved gas is transformed from the draining zones of layers saturated with water and gas into the free state. Its volume is determined by means of periodic measurements of the current values of the draining water and gas saturated layers according to relation , where ΔVi is the current volume of the solved gas liberated into the free state at the date of taking measurements, in mln m3, Si, hi are the current dimensions of the draining zone of the layers saturated with water and gas with respect to the area Si and thickness hi at the date of taking measurements in m2 and m, respectively, mo is the open porosity of the draining zone of the water and gas saturated layers in parts of unit, Gf is the gas factor of the draining zone of the water and gas saturated layers when Ps, parameter value in m3/m3 of water, Pi, Pc are the initial and current weighted average gas saturation pressure values measurable in observation wells outside the contour, in MPa at the date of taking measurements.
