FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: product: alkyl-tert.-alkyl esters. Reagent 1: aliphatic alcohols. Reagent 2: isoolefins. Conditions: increased temperature and pressure. Process is carried out in the presence of sulfated ionite catalyst in device with alternating reaction zones. Vapor flow is passed from lower rectification zone by hollow vertical channel in catalyst layer, passed together with vapor formed in catalyst layer, by ascending flow through this layer and removal from the upper part of reaction zone. Output: 0.73, 0.48 and 0.60 kg/l cat as methyl-tert.-butyl ester, ethyl-tert.-butyl ester and butyl-tert.-butyl ester, respectively. Synthesized esters were used as high-octane additions to the motor fuel. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
