FIELD: shaft-type furnace constructions. SUBSTANCE: furnace has shafts 1 with lateral solid heat insulation walls 2, with longitudinal gas distributing walls 3 and with windows 4, cavities 5 and roofs 6. Shelves 11 are arranged over the windows 4. Each shelf has a width of its base, being by 3-15% less than a width of a base of a higher arranged shelf, that is why the shafts have a cross section, widening from upwards to downwards. Such construction prevents bridge formation of the material and stabilizes drying process due to enhanced passing ability of the material.
