FIELD: production of dry-charged cadmium electrodes with a minimum loss of capacity. SUBSTANCE: cadmium electrode is electrochemically charged in a solution of potassium hydroxide, then it is dipped in fused electrolyte of potassium hydroxide for 2-3 minutes at a temperature of 400 to 420 C for removal of water from pores and drying. EFFECT: reduced loss of capacity.
