METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HOLLOW BLADES WITH FILLER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: engine building. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing two half-spades having joint surface; positioning and fixing cellular members in cavity of one half-spade; covering it with other half-spade and providing compression of obtained pack with simultaneous heating to temperature, at which adhesive becomes effective. Filler members are made bulky and sprocket-shaped with three or more spokes. Spokes oriented at an angle with respect to filler member base are provided with longitudinal corrugations. Filler members are interconnected by processing tape with compensators and located in half-spade cavity with predetermined space between them. When filler members are fixed on surface of one half-spade, tape is removed by mechanical means combined with applying predetermined force. Ends of spokes have contact surfaces formed as lugs, whose total surface area is equal to filler member base area.
