FIELD: electric engineering, in particular, thermo-emitting method for transformation of thermal energy to electric energy, possible use during loop reactive tests of multi-element channels.

SUBSTANCE: method includes measuring static volt-ampere characteristic at nominal thermal power and optimal pressure of working body, calculated estimation of inclination of static volt-ampere characteristics at nominal power and optimal pressure for value of number of serviceable elements from 1 to n, where n - full number of elements in multi-element channel, and estimation of number of serviceable elements from comparison of inclinations of measured volt-ampere characteristic with results of estimations. Portion of volt-ampere characteristic is performed until current, equal to 1,1,...,1,2 of short circuit current, while estimation of number of serviceable elements is performed from comparison of measured inclination of portion of volt-ampere characteristic to results of estimations of inclinations of static volt-ampere characteristics.
