SUBSTANCE: method includes measuring of thermal stream. In accordance to invention, measured additionally is time of re-condensation of fuel material in the core of electric-generating element. Emitter temperature is determined from the following relation: where TE - temperature of emitter, °C, τC - time of re-condensation of fuel material, hours, T(τ=0) - temperature of surface of fuel material in beginning time moment, °K, C = A/TE; qv - heat emission in fuel material, Wt/cm3, λ, ρ - respectively heat conductivity and density of fuel material, Wt/cm·deg and g/cm3, A and Beginning - constants, dependent on type of fuel material.

EFFECT: increased precision of determining temperature.
