FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation, particularly, to turn angle transducers. This transducer comprises transmitting and receiving units. Transmitting unit comprises linearly polarised radiation source, quarter-wavelength plate, polariser and micro objective-lens, all being arranged in one optical axis. Receiving unit comprises micro objective-lens, quarter-wavelength plate, analyser, diaphragm and photo receiver as a recorder. Transmitting and receiving units are arranged turn in synchronism and coupled by single-mode waveguide that preserves said single-mode polarisation of propagating radiation. Polarisation plane of radiation fed into waveguide is directed along one of polarisation main axes, waveguide ends being rigidly secured in said units.
EFFECT: measurement of twisting angles of both objects located outside direct visibility, higher level of protection against atmospheric interference.
