SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical search devices and can be used in navigation systems and object detection systems. The system includes a log, a gyrocompass, an autotracking unit, two optical receiving devices, a rotary device with a bearing sensor, a duration selector, an amplitude selector, a variable delay line, a range-finding unit, a range corrector and a display. In the optical receiving devices, photodetectors are in the form of a line of N discrete photosensitive areas adjoining each other in the axial direction, perpendicular to the rotation vector of the rotary device. N outputs of the first and second photodetectors are respectively connected to N inputs of first and second switches, the control inputs of which are connected to the first and second outputs of a synchroniser.

EFFECT: high information value of displaying on a screen, simple design of optical receiving devices.
