FIELD: equipment for wet cleaning of flue gases. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing and spray cyclone tubes-nozzles mounted in housing in parallel relation one with respect to the other and provided with swirlers formed as tangential slot made in their lower part. Liquid to be sprayed is introduced into tubes-nozzles, whose upper part is formed as diffuser. Stable emulsification (phase inversion) in wide range of contaminated gas flow rate variations and reduced consumption of spray liquid in cyclone tubes are provided by mounting emulsification promoter formed as ring or membrane. Emulsification promoter may be positioned in cyclone tube at a distance from swirler equal to 0.3-3.0 diameter of cyclone tube. Ratio of working section of ring (membrane), diameter D and section area F of tube 2 determined by dependence recited in specification. EFFECT: increased efficiency of cleaning by providing phase inversion mode in wide range of gas flow rate and reduced flow rate of liquid. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
