Valve is installed between inlet and outlet of converter or in partitions between sections of reaction chambers. Valve is plate structure with rod. Valve is of direct - action type. Number of valves depends on number of reaction chambers. At throttling and abrupt load rise, converter valve opens for short period of time equal, for instance, from 2 to 3 seconds, which contributes to reduction of sharp increase in backpressure and preserves accelerating properties of diesel engines.
