FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has an optic system including a radiation source collimating objective lens, protection glass shield and television system including a light converter, synch pulse generator and video watching device which has auxiliary prism, cylindrical lens, pulse counter, pulse generator, serially connected comparator, pulse shaper, register, rapid-access storage with control device digital-analogue converter and adder. The apparatus is characterized in that one of the prism faces is in contact with medium to be investigated and at an obtuse angle to the protection glass shield surface being in contact with the medium investigated and the other face of the prism is reflective. The cylindrical lens is interposed between the collimating onjective lens and its focal plane, a generator line of the cylindrical surface being orthogonal to a rib formed by crossed prism and protection glass shield surfaces facing each other and being in contact with the investigated medium. The light converter is disposed in the focal plane of the composite objective including the collimating objective lens and cylindrical lens in the cross-section orthogonal to its main focusing cross-section. The light converter output is connected to the comparator input, the pulse generator output is connected to the pulse counter input, the synch pulse generator output is connected to the inputs of control device and adder and to the zero-setting inputs of register and counter, the adder output being connected to the video watching device input and pulse shaper output being connected to the synch pulse input of register.
