FISHING TACKLE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: amateur and sports fishing. SUBSTANCE: fishing tackle has body 1, axle 2 secured on body, spool 3 fitted on axle with front cheek 4 and rear cheek 5, handle 6 fastened on front cheek 4 by means of hinge-joint 7 made to provide locking of handle 6 in longitudinal and lateral directions relative to axle 2 of spool 3, base 8 for attachment on fishing rod 11, spring-loaded hinge joint 9 which connects body 1 with base 8 carrying stop 10 and spring-loaded latch 12 to fix axle 2 of spool 3 on fishing rod 11 longitudinally and laterally, respectively; it has also mounted on body 1 spring-loaded stop 13, fishing line guide unit 14 and fishing line tensioning unit 16 which prevents fishing line 15 from getting tangled damper 17 installed between colliding parts of body 1 and base 8, and spring-loaded latch 18 to fix axle 2 of spool 3 when casting the tackle. When fishing, at first axle 2 of spool 3 is fixed on fishing rod by means of latch 12 in longitudinal direction and handle 6 is oriented in lateral direction relative to axle 2. Then stroke is made by fishing rod 11 and body 1 with spool 3 is released by means of latch 12; under action of spring 19 body 1 moves around hinge-joint 9 until stop 10 sets axle 2 of spool 3 along fishing rod 11. Damper 17 compensates for impact, thus reducing energy of kickback, and latch 18 fixes axle 2 on fishing rod 11 longitudinally. Fishing line 15 is unreeled from spool 3 through front cheek 4. Stop 13 prevents turning of spool 3 under action of friction forces. When tackle hits the water, body 1 is returned to initial position, handle 6 is oriented longitudinally relative to axle 2 of spool 3, fishing line 15 is fitted in socket 20 of fishing line guide unit 14 and fishing line 15 is wound on spool 3 by rotating spool 3 by means of handle 6. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of tackle, prevention of entanglement of fishing line both when making a long cast and winding the line on spool. 9 cl, 4 dwg
