FIELD: microwave technique. SUBSTANCE: microwave oscillator has bipolar transistor 1 connected into common-base circuit, high-quality cavity 4, control varicap 9, first, second, third, and fifth microstrip matching stubs 2, 3, 5, 7, 8; emitter of transistor 1, is connected via first microstrip stub 2 of λ/2 wavelength (where λ is wavelength in microstrip line ) to fourth stub; fifth stub 8 of l/4 wavelength open on one end is connected to first microstrip stub; third stub 5 open on one end is electromagnetically coupled with high-quality cavity 4 at point spaced λ/4 from open end and through it electromagnetically coupled with second stub 3 of λ/2 wavelength one of whose ends is open and other end is connected to collector of transistor 1. Coupling is effected at point spaced λ/4 from open end of stub 3. Control varicap 9 is connected with its first input through fourth microstrip stub 7 of λ/2 wavelength to point of connection of first and fifth microstrip stubs 2 and 8 wherein first input of automatic frequency control unit 6 is connected, second input of this unit being connected to other end of third stub 5; first output of unit 6 is connected to first output of varicap 9 and second output functions as oscillator output.
