FIELD: catalytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method for production of catalyst for complete combustion of carbon monoxide consists in submersion of molded blank of iron-graphite composite (graphite content 0.5-3 mas.%) in solution of (π-C3H5PtCl)4, (π-C3H5PdCl)2 and (π-C3H5PdClPPh3) in hydrocarbon solution. Solution concentration is 6-10 g of metal per liter. 20-30 min after submersion, the blank is removed from solution and dried at room temperature and subjected to air calcination at 750-850 C for 2-4 h. Concentration of sorbed metal in surface layer amounts to 5·10-6-2,5·10-5 g of metal per gram of composite. In reaction of carbon monoxide oxidation produced catalyst ensures conversion of carbon monoxide by 85-90 mol.%. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 tbl
