FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: stepped shells are being installed on a platform concurrently with insertion of a proper pile when mounting ice resistant base. The shell is fixed on the upper pile end and lowered down until touching diaphragm. Then the shell is detached from the pile and the pile is deepened down to calculated depth. Then projected part of the pile is cut off, fixed to the support leg. The shell is withdrawn. EFFECT: ice resistant pile base.
