FIELD: application of coatings. SUBSTANCE: method involves dipping product into plasma initiated by electric discharge and subjecting to chemical-thermal treatment. Prior to chemical-thermal treatment, surface of product is exposed to unidirected beam of accelerated particles, which are generated by independent ion source. The final process is application of covering layer onto product surface. EFFECT: increased strength of adhesion between covering and product surface by effectuating mentioned sequence of operations and as a result increased wear-resistance of product as a whole.
