FIELD: metal arc welding. SUBSTANCE: supply source has single-phase transformer with two secondary windings, each connected through its choke to its noncontrolled rectifier. Outputs of both rectifiers are connected in parallel with arc space, and chokes are magnetically coupled opposite to each other. Such connection makes it possible to use one rectifier for striking the arc, and other rectifier, for supplying operating current. Chokes serve to form required external characteristic of supply source. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
