SUBSTANCE: capillary needle of ion source is made in the form of sintered wires spirally wound on central core wire; internal capillary ducts of needle are formed by surfaces of contacting wires. EFFECT: reduced working medium loss due to its lower evaporation rate from side surface of needle which is most important when dealing with substances having high vapor pressures (up to 10 Pa) at working temperature; reduced hydrodynamic impedance of needle. 2 dwg
