FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding metal to a gap between a driven drum, driven rims and a belt, embracing the rims; forming the ingot in radial direction between the drum, the belt and the lateral rims; providing deformation at compressing the ingot, being in solid-liquid state, due to motion of the drum; drawing the ingot a variable speed and measuring efforts, acting upon rollers at a side of the belt. EFFECT: enhanced quality of continuously cast ingot slabs, increased efficiency and stability of casting process, enhanced strength of casting equipment. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
