FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: within this method continuously cast slabs quality improves, output and stability of casting process rise and durability of equipment increases. In the process of continuous casting metal is fed into a gap between driving drum, rims and rim-rounding belt. Slab if formed in radial direction between drum, belt and side rims. Reduced slab in solid-liquid state is deformed and drawn with varying speed. Belt rests on two rollers. Belt pressure on rollers is measured and in case its value exceeds 5-20 per cent of the working value, slab drawing speed accelerates according to given function.
