FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: gas-discharge lamp consists of burner made of optical transparent material with hermetically installed electrodes, which is placed in external glass flask, which is filled with at least one of inertial gases and/or mixture of inertial gases and connected to the base. Burner diameter, the largest diameter of external flask, length of burner internal part, length of external flask from the dome to base connection point, pressure of at least one of inertial gases and/or mixture of inertial gases, lamp electric power are related to each other by the following proportion: 5.77> dlP"ng" / DLP"L" K > 1.98, where: d - internal diameter of burner, mm, D - the largest internal diameter of external flask, mm, l - burner length, mm, L - internal length of external flask from the dome to base connection point, mm, P"ng" - pressure of at least one of inertial gases and/or mixture of inertial gases, kPa, P"l" - lamp electric power, kilowatt, K - proportion coefficient, equal to 1.0 and having dimension, W/kPa.
EFFECT: cost reduction.
