SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting an integral criterion of condition, remote measurement from the orbital station of the coefficients of spectral brightness of the probed forest area in three parts of the visible spectrum with a discreteness of 2 nm, quantization of signal amplitudes at a pitch of 1/256, calculation of chromatic coefficients of vitality and damage, computing the function of mutual regression and its calibration within the entire measurement range of integral criterion, continuous tracking of symptoms, recording them in the coordinate of assessment by points on station-borne printer and sending off the results over facsimile radio line.
