FIELD: prompt diagnostics of vegetable covers and reforestation stages. SUBSTANCE: video frames of forest section being examined are obtained from board of orbital station and transformed to digital form, and two-dimensional spatial spectrum is calculated. Then autocorrelation function of spectrum is determined by inverse Fourier transform, and function of regression between parameters of these functions for different types of vegetation is calculated. After taring of obtained results total vegetation picture of entire observation area is synthesized by pictures of check areas. EFFECT: recording and conversion of texture signs of pictures obtained by remote methods to feature sufficient for identification of vegetation type; higher efficiency. 5 dwg
