METHOD FOR MAKING CORROSION RESISTANT GOLD-COLORED PLATING ON SUBSTRATES Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2039127 C1

FIELD: materials for civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes applying translucent film of titanium nitride of thickness and metal layer of aluminum of thickness. Titanium nitride is applied at 16 20 A/s rate during 50 60 s in argon and nitrogen medium with 6 8 per cent of nitrogen in gas mixture. Aluminum layer is applied on external surface of the substrate when it is nontransparent, then titanium nitride film is applied. Aluminum layer may be applied on intermediate titanium layer of thickness in this case. When forming the plating on transparent substrate, translucent nitride film is applied on its external surface, then aluminum layer of above thickness is applied too. Titanium layer of the same thickness may be applied on aluminum one. Substrate of different materials may be used to make strength corrosion resistant plating. EFFECT: corrosion resistant gold-colored plating of deep color on substrates of different transparent and nontransparent materials. 5 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
