FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: liquid metal is fed into a gap between driving drum, rims and rim-rounding belt. Slab is formed in a gap in radial direction, reduced in solid-liquid state by means of drum replacement and drawn with a varying speed. Belt rests on rollers. In the process of continuous casting slab drawing speed accelerates at the rate of 0,05...1,2 cm/s2. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 tbl
