FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: double-electric-layer capacitor has its case built up of power plates and flexible sheet material shell made of two or more nonsplit parts with sealed part-to-part and part-to-plate joints. Each part of shell has ribs along edge in direction of capacitor stack compression facing outside and shaped strip located on its inner side so that it covers part-to-part joint of shell. Each power plate is made of sheet metal in the form of hollow envelope whose inner space is filled with set of plates whose plane is arranged along direction of stack compression to form two-dimensional lattice built integral with shell accommodating power plates.
