FIELD: electrical engineering; low- voltage storage capacitors. SUBSTANCE: capacitor has case accommodating at least one stack of n storage sections placed between current-carrying strips connected to capacitor power leads, each section incorporating plate and two electrolyte-impregnated porous electrodes with separator in-between; tie plates closing case at butt ends and used to compress stack of storage sections, side inner insulator mounted between storage sections and case, and inner butt-end insulator disposed between current-carrying strips and tie plates; novelty is that current-carrying strips are brought in direct mechanical contact with electrodes of extreme storage sections and each of capacitor plates whose quantity equals n 1 is in direct mechanical contact with two electrodes of adjacent storage sections; spaces between edges of current-carrying strip, capacitor plates, and separators projecting beyond electrode surfaces are filled with insulating material common for all storage sections of insulator; the latter and side insulator abutting against inner surface of case form nonsplit joint. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture, improved sealing of inner space and each storage section, reduced internal resistance, enhanced specific power characteristics, reduced material input. 14 cl, 2 dwg
