FIELD: electromechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: arc-control chamber has insulated plates provided with two slits and installed for mirror reflection; plate slits are unevenly spaced from side edges. Plates 3 have projections 4 on side edges and slot 5 in bottom part of plate; one of slits 6 is built up of two sections parallel to side edge unequally spaced from it and joined by inclined section 8; end of slit is bent out towards bottom projection of side edge and other slit 7 is inclined to axis of plate 3 and its upper end is located within inclined section 8 of slit 6 while bottom end is within bottom projection of opposite side edge; jumper is fitted between slits.
