FIELD: underwater production of gas and oil. SUBSTANCE: underwater inhabited drilling rig has a drilling platform, device for communication with the surface using an emerging chamber with air intakes, links connecting the platform with the device for communication with the surface, and air-feed hoses used to supply air from the surface to the digging platform through a coil spring made of a cylindrical tube strengthened by stiffening ribs; water tanks are provided inside the tube, they communicate with the environment through a shut-off device, for example, a valve; air-feed hoses are laid, and gangways for the attending personnel are provided. The emerging chamber has a sharpened extremity for ice breaking, and water tanks furnished inside the chamber, they communicate with the ambient aqueous medium through the shut-off device. EFFECT: decreased dependence of underwater inhabited drilling rig on hydrometeorological conditions, ice conditions inclusive; use of the given offer at creation of inhabited underwater objects for production of gas and oil located on the shelf of arctic seas, under ice inclusive, will ensure high operating characteristics of the rig, enhanced reliability in unfavorable weather conditions, and break-up of the ice sheet, if necessary, for communication with the sea surface. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
