FIELD: engineering. SUBSTANCE: heater that has integral cold cathode 4 and anode 3 is mounted in vacuum chamber. Cathode and anode are connected to power supply 7. Between them tube 2 that is made from insulated material that is resistant to heat and unit that does not pass through metal ions are located. Wall 5 of branch pipe 6 inhibits pass of ions to chamber of tube 2. Anode is connected to power supply 7 through thermally insulated conductor 8 which is mounted inside tube 2. Current running in conductor 8 generates magnetic field resulting in displacement of electrons in direction of walls of tube 2. This results in increased intensity of electric field. EFFECT: increased specific power for unit of heater length, increased efficiency. 1 dwg
