FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: introduced simultaneously into melt of killed steel are reducing agents and powdery material containing niobium oxide in form of mixture of niobium oxide with granulated calcium and material taken from group including aluminum, ferrosilicon, calcium-silicon with the following contents of components, mas. niobium oxide 54-66; calcium 9-25; the balance, material taken from group including aluminium, ferrosilicon, calcium-silicon. In this case, mixture is introduced into melt in the amount of (22-29)N kg/t of steel, where N is required content of niobium in finished steel, mass. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 2 tbl
