FIELD: ionizing radiation measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device has microchannel plates and recording unit with anode made as combination of delay line with longitudinal strips inside line placed perpendicular to turns. Point of track incidence onto microchannel plate surface is projected by electron avalanche onto flat delay line surface; induced in longitudinal strip under point of hitting of electron avalanche is signal affording precision time mark of particle passage through detector (with a few seconds of delay); strip number gives one spatial coordinate of track while second spatial coordinate is determined by time of arrival of electron avalanche signal from delay line. For detecting slightly ionizing charged particles, microchannel plates are used as target-converter. EFFECT: provision for obtaining two precision spatial coordinates on one time coordinate of charged particle track simultaneously. 4 dwg
