FIELD: technology of ceramics producing. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing titanium dioxide and aluminium nitride powder taken at the ratio, wt. -% aluminium nitride 50-52 and titanium dioxide 48-50 followed by their combined grinding, blank forming and roasting in oxygen-containing atmosphere up to ceasing blank mass and volume changes. Before and after blank forming action of oxygen-containing atmosphere on the aluminium nitride grains is carried out before aluminium oxide formation at concentration 95 wt.-% not above. After cooling reaction-caked monophase ceramics made of aluminium titanate is obtained. The yield is increased up to 112-113% This ceramics shows finely grained structure. EFFECT: increased strength at decreased values of heat expansion linear coefficient. 1 tbl
