FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing the powders of titanium nitride, titanium dioxide and aluminium nitride taken in a relation, wt.-%: aluminium nitride, 94.0-99.8; titanium nitride, 0.1-4.7; titanium dioxide, 0.1-5.9, their joint mixing, forming of blanks, and firing in oxygen-containing atmosphere until the weight of blanks ceases to change. The product resulting after cooling is reaction-baked corundum ceramics. This ceramic material has a fine-grained structure and high mechanical strength. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
