FIELD: converter engineering. SUBSTANCE: power unit for static converters has frame 1 with front panel 2 and rear panel 3, two power thyristors with heat sinks and anode and cathode buses 10 and 11 provided with holes, board 12 on rear panel 3 with control connector 13 and power connector, parts for connecting power connector to buses 10 and 11 of power thyristors, RC network panel, integrated circuit on panel 2, and output control stage for power thyristors. Thyristor anodes and cathode are electrically connected in parallel opposition by means of anode and cathode buses 8-11; power connector and parts for connecting power connector to buses 8-11 of power thyristors are made in the form of two buses rectangular in sectional area one of which is connected to anode bus of first thyristor and to cathode bus 11 of second thyristor; second one is connected to cathode bus 10 of first thyristor and to anode bus 9 of second thyristor. End of each power bus has open slot; board 12 on rear panel 3 is provided with two rectangular holes each passing end of power bus with open slot; thyristors with heat sinks and buses 8-11 are installed so that holes in buses 8-11 of different thyristors are coaxial in pairs.
