FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves pouring in succession two doses of melt (two products) molten in different melting units with different chemical composition and having different melting temperatures, with liquidus temperature of one semi-product not exceeding solidus temperature of other semi-product. Melt dose with lower liquidus temperature is initially poured and cooled to temperature not exceeding solidus temperature of melt second dose. Then second dose is pored. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of ingots. 1 tbl
