FIELD: wool production and treatment. SUBSTANCE: wool is treated in three stages. In the first section, dirty wool supplied by conveyer is wetted with the aid of nozzles connected with hydraulic line from the third section. In the second section, wool is subjected to intensive cleaning under conditions of steam-emulsion shower produced by steam jet nozzles. In so doing, rising shafts support wool layer in suspended position that promotes easy and quick removal of melted wool grease and solid foreign impurities. Wool is rinsed in the third section by means of mechanical jet nozzles. Installed at the section outlet are squeeze rolls for removal of excessive in fibers. EFFECT: simple in design, highly efficient cleaning of wool from wool grease and other impurities without impairing wool valuable properties. 1 dwg
