FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of blowing a melt in a converter from upwards through a tuyere, feeding a lime and cooling agents into the melt, determining chemical content of the melt; pouring out the melt to a casting ladle, adding to it killing agents and changing a height of a position of the tuyere upon blowing process over the a level of a killed bath of the melt according to a relation H1= (0,9-1,2)·(3,4·14 М); H2= (0,8-1,1)·(2,2-4 М), where H1 and H2-values of height of positions of the tuyere over the level of the killed bath of the melt upon blowing process respectively at first period of blowing, equal to (0.4-0.5) of the whole period of the blowing, and at the remaining period an end of the blowing, m; (0.9-1.2) and (0.8-1.1)-empirical coefficients, taking into account a mass of the melt in the converter, dimensionless; 3,4 and 2,2-empirical values, taking into account tendencies of slag formation and formation of burstouts from the converter, m; 14, and 4-empirical coefficients, taking into account influence degree of quantity of the slag upon burstout of the melt, m/t; M- a current value of mass of lime, being fed to the converter for a current time moment of the blowing process for 1 ton of the melt.
