FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing liquid glass, in particular for producing building materials, zeolites, silicate paints, etc. Proposed method for producing liquid glass can be used in plants producing fluoride salts and aluminium fluoride. Silica gel, which is a waste product of aluminium fluoride, is pretreated with an alkali solution with a concentration of 25 wt% at a temperature of 20 °C for 10 min. Resulting solution is then filtered. Silica gel prepared in this way is introduced fractionally in two equal portions into water. Water is taken in an amount of half of the stoichiometric amount and heated to a temperature of 90…95 °C. Resulting slurry from production of liquid glass is returned to the cycle for more complete dissolution of the silica.

EFFECT: invention provides simplification of the process of obtaining liquid glass by reducing the number of steps and duration of synthesis while maintaining the quality of the finished product.
