FIELD: pressing by explosion energy of powder-like materials, namely applying coatings on articles in chemical, nuclear, machine engineering and other industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pouring into a cavity, formed at assembling a cylindrical surface of an article and a tubular envelope, alternative layers of an inert material and a material to be applied; separating the above mentioned materials by partitions; performing heat treatment of a blank, had been produced at temperature consisting (0.9-0.95) of temperature value of melting of polymer over (5-10) min for 1 mm of a thickness of an annular coating in order to provide enhanced quality of coatings of metal-polymer materials. EFFECT: simplified manufacturing process, lowered consumption of powdered material, enhanced quality of coatings. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
