Abstract RU 2061580 C1

FIELD: production of blanks by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. SUBSTANCE: hopper 1 for reaction mixture is filled with charge, then, drive is engaged and rotating disk 2 mounted in immovable webs 3 and 4. When holes in rotating disk 2 coincide with holes in webs 3 and 4, charge comes through inlet pipe 21 to hollow of reactor 8. Upon filling the reactor with charge, drive 7 of compaction mechanism is engaged and charge in reactor 8 is compacted by screw 6. At the same time, drive 13 for reactor moving is engaged. Reactor 8 starts moving downward due to interaction of lead screw 14 with threaded holes in cross-piece 12 rigidly connected with reactor 8. After preliminary compaction, charge is heated preliminarily in the reactor with the help of heating member 10. After heating, reaction of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in charge is initiated by means of igniters. Then, drive 13 for moving the reactor is engaged. Rod 15 with its lower end thrusts the frame and, overcoming the resistance of spring 16, pushes out blanks. Engagement of drives, actuation of igniters and pusher are accomplished by commands from automatic control unit 19.
